Before ordering I cut out a paper template and laid it on the floor in front of my twin size hide-a-bed couch. It looked like it would be perfect. And it was. The packaging was excellent. None of the pieces were marred or broken. Yes, it's particle board covered with fake wood, however, you get your money's worth in terms of a nice finish with sturdy construction. The seller includes an extra screw as well as the only tool you need to put it together. Easy peasy directions, too. For a studio apartment, the coffee table was the right choice for me.
